Warehouse Associate - Receiving

Description

Kleen – Rite Corp is hiring for a Warehouse Associate in the Receiving Department in the Mount Joy, PA warehouse. The Receiving Warehouse Associate position is responsible for receiving inbound shipments, putting away and replenishments throughout the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have receiving experience and be detail-orientated to ensure accuracy with shipments from our vendors.

Primary Responsibilities

• Follow  all established procedures for each department within the Distribution Location, including all maintenance and safety procedures.
• Achieve proficiency standards within each department, as directed by your supervisor and set by the respective Distribution Center Manager. Individuals are expected to meet department standards when completing tasks across various departments.
• Receiving Duties – Processing incoming product shipments which include: labeling, counting and repackaging various products, ensuring accuracy in orders.
• Cycle Counting – Accurately participate in daily and annual cycle counts as directed by your supervisor.
• Use computers and hand-held equipment where necessary.
• Perform general warehouse housekeeping duties for to maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
• Follow all safety protocol and warehouse procedures.
• Perform other duties, as assigned. 

Requirements

• Required to have at least 6 months experience operating a forklift.
• Must have a minimum of 1 year experience working in receiving.
• Must be willing and able to learn new technology and computer programs such as: RF Scanners, Printing Programs, components of MS Office Suite and NetSuite.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to accurately repackage products and accurately count in large numbers of products.
• Be punctual, reliable, and prepared for work during work days and hours.
• Strong communication, organizational and time management skills.
• Must be able to read documents written in Standard English text.
• Enjoy working independently as well as in a team-environment with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must work within the framework of the Kleen-Rite Corp. Values and Mission Statement.
• Must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Physical Demands

• Stand and walk for long periods of time within a Warehouse Setting, completing similar, repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basis.
• Must be able and willing to occasionally push, pull and lift products/packages exceeding 50 lbs, using a team lift assist when needed. 
• Must be able to reach above shoulder level frequently.
• Able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment where temperatures vary with the seasons. 
• Must be able to regularly use warehouse equipment such as step stools, ladders and other tools to assist to retrieve products above ground level.
• Able to work around equipment, forklifts, large trucks, and loud noise.
• Be able to use and work with a computer, and other technology that regularly requires you to be within 20 inches of a      computer/electronic screen.
