Warehouse Clerk (1st Shift) - Automotive Manufacturing

Summary

The Warehouse Clerk reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and handles the receiving, storing and distributing material, equipment, etc. within the warehouse and production floor, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

Functions

Job Specific Responsibilities

· Checks in material, matching purchase orders to deliveries, and distributing accordingly.

· Read customer orders, shipping orders, etc. to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and or shipped.

· Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.

· Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence.

· Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for all employees and visitors at all times.

· Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.

· Open crates and other containers.

· Record amounts of materials received or distributed in PLEX.

· Assist production with PLEX recording.

· Responsible for inventory accuracy.

· PLEX champion

· Perform cycle counts.

· Prepare parcels for mailing.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a non-exempt, full-time hourly position (40 hours per week). Overtime may be required.

Eligibility Qualifications

· High school diploma

· 1 year of experience in warehousing and receiving manufacturing environment

· Prior experience driving a Hilo

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

· Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks

· Physical stamina for work in a manufacturing environment

Work Environment

· Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, chemicals, and temperature changes. PPE required
