Description

A Warehouse Contents Handler is responsible for the movement, organization, and placement of packed personal belongings and furniture within our storage warehouse. This role ensures that items are properly stored, transported for cleaning or repairs, or prepared for disposal. The position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and adherence to safety protocols.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport packed personal contents and furniture to designated areas for storage, cleaning, repairs, or disposal.
• Maintain accurate records of item locations and movement within the warehouse.
• Ensure proper handling of fragile or valuable items to prevent damage.
• Assist in inventory management and tracking of stored contents.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and carts.
• Follow safety guidelines and warehouse procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
• Communicate effectively with restoration teams and warehouse supervisors regarding item status.

Qualifications:

• Experience in warehouse operations or logistics preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management systems.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
