POSITION SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Coordinator leads day-to-day operations at The Bloom Closet Warehouse, serving as the operational hub that keeps all three Bloom Closet sites running smoothly. This role is responsible for managing the flow of donated inventory — from intake and sorting to restock, changeover, and transportation between sites — ensuring that The Closet and The Hive always have what they need to serve foster children and families.

This position requires a hands-on leader who can manage both the physical demands of warehouse operations and the people side of the work. The Warehouse Coordinator will lead a team of associates and volunteers, creating a culture of efficiency, accountability, and care that reflects Bloom’s mission in every aspect of the warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, operationally strong, and naturally relational — someone who takes pride in running a tight operation while also investing in the people around them.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Warehouse Operations

• Oversees daily operations of The Bloom Closet Warehouse, maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient working environment

• Manages the intake, sorting, and quality control of donated inventory in accordance with Bloom’s donation standards

• Coordinates inventory changeover and ensures merchandise is properly prepared and staged for distribution to site locations

• Operates and maintains Bloom vehicles in accordance with organizational policy, including scheduled runs between sites

• Ensures compliance with OSHA safety guidelines and maintains a culture of safety across all warehouse activities

• Identifies and communicates facility or equipment needs to the Director of Operations

Team & Volunteer Leadership

• Leads and supports warehouse associates and volunteers in executing daily operational plans

• Maintains a culture of excellence, accountability, and compassion that reflects Bloom’s mission

• Communicates regularly with the Director of Operations to ensure consistency in policies, procedures, and organizational culture

Inventory & Logistics

• Manages inventory levels across all Bloom sites, coordinating restock and changeover to ensure each location has adequate supply

• Maintains full knowledge and use of inventory management systems and communicates inventory shortages to the Director of Operations

• Plans and executes transportation runs between The Warehouse, The Closet, and The Hive Donation Center on a regular and as-needed basis

• Ensures donated inventory is sorted, categorized, and stored in a manner that supports efficient retrieval and distribution

• Communicates with site leadership to anticipate inventory needs and prioritize accordingly

Reporting & Administration

• Tracks inventory levels and warehouse activity and provides regular updates to the Director of Operations

• Creates monthly productivity reports including donations received, inventory processed, and other relevant operational data for board reports, grants, and internal review

• Submits receipts and expense reports in accordance with Bloom’s financial policies

• Ensures accurate recordkeeping of vehicle usage, maintenance needs, and transportation logs in conjunction with the Transportation Associate

• Maintains organized documentation of warehouse procedures and safety protocols

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS: This position is a full-time, salary position (40 hours per week) with occasional early morning hours and some weekend hours.
