Key accountabilities in order of priority and with ideal time allocations are:

  

1. Oversee the service operations to ensure revenue and   profitability goals are achieved.

2. Collaborates with Project Management team to   successfully deliver projects ahead of time and under budget.

3. Participation in the development of   strategic plans, organizational goals and reporting on service operation   results.

4.  Researching   and creating new revenue opportunities through the development of supplier relationships and identification of unique product offerings.

15%

 

5.  Oversight of retail and operational  support to help achieve the vision of creating relationships.

Note: Twenty percent of time is reserved for ancillary responsibilities, interruptions and unplanned activities. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The responsibilities listed are fundamental to the position and must be performed successfully to achieve the key performance objectives of the role. Other responsibilities may be assigned.

Interpersonal Responsibilities

1. Develop and maintain customer relationships directly or through Inside Sales that will create new and ongoing revenue streams, along with ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded.

2. Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers that will result in an ongoing source of new business from customer referrals.

3. Collaborate with Director of Operations to ensure that the staff and fabrication resources are being allocated in a way to ensure they are being efficiently and effectively utilized.

4. Appropriately manage and resolve any escalated employee issues resulting from internal situations or those brought forth from external contacts such as a General Contractor.

5. Ensure that an appropriate communications channel is maintained with all service and retail positions regarding any significant company news, changes in job scope or anything that material impact operations.

Operational Responsibilities

1. Ensure that service and retail jobs are priced competitively and appropriately to ensure sales and margin goals are achieved. 

2. Review and approve job pricing for Inside Sales, Service Sales and Sidney Scheduling Service Manager (SSSM) when job pricing thresholds are exceeded and appropriately consult with President on large, complex or high value jobs. 

3. Coordinate with Service Sales and the SSSM on the scheduling of staff resources.

4. Communicate and coordinate with Draftsman to ensure shop drawings are prioritized, scheduled and completed to achieve project deadlines and goals.

5. Monitor and appropriately follow up on service projects to ensure they are on track to meet established deadlines and goals and/or if additional resources are required.

6. Work with supplier partners as needed to expedite lead times and/or to troubleshoot potential logistic or product availability issues to ensure projects are quoted appropriately.

7. Proactively identify potential new and innovate product offerings or solutions (such through the use of new technology or service contracts) that could benefit customers and be a new source of revenue.  

8. Oversee and collaborate with SSSM and Piqua Tool and Vehicle Manager (PTVM) on fleet management and tool expenditures, maintenance and escalated issues. 

9. Collaborate with appropriate administrative employees on the reconciliation of business items such as the correct assignment of purchase orders, sales codes and taxes.

10. Ensure that all required operational reports are being received or issued from or to appropriate parties.

11. Ensure that Performance Agreements are established for all direct and indirect report staff, along with development and training plans to ensure all employees are able to perform their jobs safely and profitably 

Organizational Responsibilities

1. Serve as a member of the Leadership Team and participate in strategic and organizational planning processes.

2. Collaborate with the President on the establishment of annual goals and ensure all required regular reports are completed and submitted on time including his/her own Performance Agreement.

3. Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure staffing requirements are achieved and that any employee issues are appropriately managed. 

4. Collaborate with Office Manger on the identification and implementation of new technology that will improve service, retail and operational efficiencies.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

The physical demands of this position require the ability to communicate orally and in writing, hear at a conversation level, distinguish between basic colors and shades, use vision for depth perception and operate a motor vehicle.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will continuously (67-100% time on job) use fingers for typing. Frequently (34-66% time on job), the employee will sit, climb stairs and have wrists in prolonged position of flexion or extension. Occasionally (6-33% of time on job), the employee will be required to stand, walk, use gripping pressure, carry and lift up to 10 pounds and twist or bend wrists. The employee will infrequently (2-5% time on job) be required to lift 10-35 pounds. The employee will rarely (1% time on job or less) be required to stoop, kneel, reach or pull up to 20 pounds for 50 feet. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 

The employee will continuously (67-100% time on job) work indoors and in a confined space, such as an office. The employee will frequently (34-66% time on job) work alone. The employee will occasionally (6-33% time on job) be required to work outdoors. The employee will infrequently (2-5% time on job) be required to travel by car and have a maximum of 2 night stays. The employee will rarely (1% time on job or less) be required to work in temperatures below 55° F, in heat above 90°F, work around moving vehicles.

The employee will rarely (1% time on job) be required to wear eye protection or a hard hat.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1. Experience: Must have 3 years of experience within the glass industry in a similar position. Minimum of 5 years in sales and business development experience. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.

2. Reasoning and Development: Apply principles of rational systems to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form. 

3. Mathematical Development: High school math required. College-level math preferred.

4. Language Development: Ability to read technical manuals and reports, workplace rules and procedures; speak with poise and confidence, using correct English. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

5. Licensures and Certifications: N/A

6. Education: Bachelor’s Degree Strongly preferred.


Requirements

  

Responsible for signing in and out tools

Load trucks daily per the load sheet at both Kromart and Main Street locations (Piqua). Weekend loading as needed.

Glaze Doors; Cut glass/mirror as needed.

Responsible for accepting deliveries.

Ensuring proper storage of inventory: hardware & accessories.

  

Labeling all materials that come into the business: hardware, stock lengths, doors, glass

  

Verifying deliveries against packing list

Responsible for overall cleanliness of the North and Middle Warehouse.

Starting Pay Rate: $25-$28
