Job Overview

Experienced shipper.  Responsible for the preparation of domestic and foreign shipments in accordance with shipping requirements and specifications.  General assignment supervised.

Key Responsibilities

• Check shipment for correct materials, packing, and crating, tagging and handing instructions, loading and bracing, etc.
• Basic problem-solving skills for handling discrepancies in orders or inventory.
• Proficiency in operating a wider range of warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
• Assign and check work of Packers and Craters and others engaged in the shipping procedures.
• Ability to manage inventory, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
• Load correct finished goods products and materials into boxes and ensure boxes are taped properly.
• Understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking and reporting inventory.
• Must be cross-trained and able to support all Warehouse I & II roles.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in warehouse operations.
• Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
• Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
• Ability to follow blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).
