Warehouse Manager

Reports To: VP of Operations
Schedule: Full-Time, 1st Shift

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager to oversee daily operations within our small parcel distribution warehouse. This role is responsible for managing warehouse personnel, inventory accuracy, inbound and outbound shipping processes, and overall warehouse performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can effectively manage a team while actively supporting warehouse operations as needed.

Our company distributes consumer electronics and small appliances through a fast-paced parcel fulfillment environment. The Warehouse Manager will play a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and employee development.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Supervise, train, and develop warehouse employees
• Maintain staffing levels to meet changing business demands
• Conduct employee performance evaluations
• Address employee coaching, discipline, and performance issues
• Promote a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Warehouse Operations

• Schedule and oversee inbound shipments
• Monitor incoming products for accuracy, quality, and condition
• Coordinate receiving, inspection, storage, and inventory control activities
• Determine appropriate shipping methods using company procedures and rating tools
• Oversee order picking, packing, and shipping operations
• Schedule carrier pickups and ensure timely shipment processing
• Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and operational efficiency

Inventory Management

• Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts and physical inventories
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Monitor inventory movement and maintain accurate records
• Utilize warehouse systems, RF scanners, and computer applications to manage inventory and shipments

Safety & Compliance

• Maintain a safe warehouse environment
• Ensure employees follow established safety procedures
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven warehouse management or supervisory experience
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to work alongside team members when needed
• Experience processing and shipping Small Parcel, LTL, and FTL shipments
• Forklift operating experience
• Strong inventory management and cycle counting experience
• Proficiency with computers, warehouse systems, RF scanners, and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move 50+ pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, push, and pull for extended periods
• Ability to work overtime as business needs require
• Ability to travel occasionally for training
