Headquartered in the Western Suburbs of Chicago, we currently operate two neighboring facilities that house our warehousing, distribution, logistics, and production operations.
We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehousing operations and ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of our facilities.
Position Overview:
As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for managing our day-to-day warehouse operations, including inventory handling, receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping. You will play a key role in leading and motivating a team of warehouse staff to achieve operational excellence while maintaining a safe and organized working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Order Fulfillment: Ensure timely and accurate picking, palletizing, and shipping of customer orders to meet delivery deadlines and quality standards. Receiving and Put-Away: Oversee the receiving process, inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, and coordinate the efficient put-away of received goods. Production Support: Oversees the Forklift Operators that work on our production lines, ensuring teams are on-time, prepared, and supported to meet production timelines. Inventory Handling: Coordinate with our Sr. Inventory Manager and the Inventory team to ensure proper FIFO procedures are being followed during picking and replenishment processes. Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse layout to facilitate easy access to inventory and optimize space utilization. Quality Control: Oversee and implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory, orders, and shipments. Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a team of warehouse associates, including training, scheduling, and performance management. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness among warehouse staff. Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs for warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2 years of management responsibilities. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS). Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, such as Outlook and Excel. Knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices in warehouse operations. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment (preferred).
