The Opportunity:
Facilitate receiving, shipping, pre-production staging, fulfillment of materials requisitions, cycle counts, and physical inventory counts. Ensure adherence to the company's food safety and quality standards. Ensure an organized, clean and safe working environment across all warehouse areas (i.e., dry, refrigerated, frozen). Lead the warehouse team, oversee all warehouse activity, and partner across functions to drive inventory accuracy and overall productivity.
What You’ll Do:
Oversee inventory control activities, including cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliations, to ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory data in enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, MRP). Develop, implement SOPs to ensure adherence to FIFO/FEFO inventory rotation policies as needed
Continuously ensure an organized, clean, safe warehouse environment. Manage the maintenance of warehouse physical plant and material handling/storage equipment. Monitor temperature of refrigerated and frozen storage areas and maintain accurate storage area temperature logs
Lead all hiring, training, planning, assigning, directing and performance management of warehouse operations. Manage warehouse staff in accordance with company policies (i.e., Employment, Quality and Food Safety, Occupational Safety, etc.) and applicable laws.
Manage schedule of inbound and outbound shipments and verify quality, quantity, lot number, and expiration date of all inbound (receiving) and outbound (fulfillment) shipments against ERP information; collaborate cross-functionally (with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Food Safety & Quality, IT/IS) to address any issues of data
accuracy/integrity,
materials quality, documentation integrity, etc.
Help develop, implement, and enforce occupational safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety inspections, audits, and training to ensure a safe working environment and promote a strong safety culture
Help develop, implement, and enforce quality and food safety policies (e.g., GMP, HACCP, HARPC) and procedures, conducting regular inspections, audits, and training to ensure a promote a strong food safety culture
What you’ll Need:
BS, AS or vocational training in relevant field preferred; 3-5 years prior supervisory experience required
Experience in food manufacturing with focus on food safety and quality (e.g., SQF, GMP, HACCP, HARPC, Food Security, Traceability, etc.)
Proficient in using computers, enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, WMS, Inventory management software, etc.)
Proficient use of Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word), intermediate use of MS Excel
Leadership ability, reliability, sound judgment required. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
Prior experience participating in internal policy committees (e.g., Food Security, Internal Audit, and Recall Team, etc.)
CPG/Natural Foods or Dairy experience a plus
Early-stage company experience a plus
