At our Banks Crossing facility, we are part of the Meat division where we create hundreds of different products for Kerry and our retail customers. The Warehouse Operative plays an important role in ensuring Kerry’s warehouse operates with optimum precision and efficiency, helping to fulfill orders and prepare them for shipment.

Key responsibilities

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists with all shipping, receiving, and inventory organization operations


• Helps to efficiently carry out all product loading and unloading tasks


• Scans and tracks incoming and outgoing orders


• Receives and processes new inventory, ensuring contents match manifest documents


• Inspects receivables for defects, damages, or missing items


• Unloads, stacks, moves, and places products in designated areas


• Moves and transfers products between various sections of the warehouse as needed


• Uses forklifts, pallet jacks, hand carts, etc. to transfer and deliver goods


• Performs specific manual inventory counts


• Stacks, shelves, and stages items for storage and shipments as necessary


• Fulfills and tracks outgoing orders


• Collects, prepares, packages, and labels goods for shipment


• Staging materials needed for production in to Manufacturing orders


• Creating transfer packets needed for the transfer of material to Manufacturing Orders.

Qualifications and skills

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent


• Previous warehouse experience preferred


• Forklift certification and/or ability to successfully complete forklift training


• Able to work long hours on one’s feet and perform physically demanding tasks


• Flexible with shift work and possible night hours


• Familiar with common warehouse tools and equipment


• Dependable and responsible


• Strong work ethic


• Comfortable working independently


• Makes safety a priority
