Warehouse Operator and Backup Box Truck Driver

The Backup Box Truck Driver loads and unloads trucks, stocks products in appropriate locations, pulls stock and stages products for shipping, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. This position will also be responsible for driving company trucks when needed to make route deliveries to customers, ensuring product is delivered to customers in a timely manner while staying compliant with FMCSA/DOT Regulations.

Hourly Rate and Schedule:

• $21.00 - $22.00 per hour, based on experience
• Monday - Friday
• 6:00am to 3:00pm EST, (start/end time varies on most days due to workload / coverage / business needs)

Requirements for Backup Driver / Warehouse Operator:

• Preference of minimum one (1) year of experience operating 26–28 ft. box trucks or any other commercial motor vehicle over 10,001 lbs.  
• Valid truck driver license and relative endorsement for the specific state.  
• Willing to submit to drug screens, background checks and maintain a valid DOT medical examiners card.  
• No recent moving or driving violations, remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Ability to perform repetitive bending and lifting
• Previous warehouse experience and must obtain forklift and manlift certification within 3 months of hire  
• Operate / Drive a forklift.

Backup Driver / Warehouse Operator duties include but are not limited to:

• Load and unload trucks, dispersing product accurately based on its receiving location
• Use scanners to stocks parts on racks in proper bin locations
• Operate at least one type of Power-Industrial Equipment (Forklift, Manlift, etc.)
• Place product on pallets and assist in banding and wrapping loads
• Wear protective steel toed shoes and work in a safe manner at all times
• Keep warehouse and work area clean and organized at all times
• Drive company trucks to make route deliveries to customers and meet delivery schedules.
• Maneuver trucks into position in order to load and unload delivery trucks.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Report defects, accidents and violations.
• Complete paperwork necessary for company and DOT regulations.
• Communicate with Fleet Management on maintenance issues and preventative maintenance of delivery trucks.
• Heavy lifting 75+lbs.
• All other duties as assigned
