Job Overview:

A vital member of the R&S Logistics Team, the Warehouse Order Picker-Packer is accurate order picking and packing for a variety of customers.  The Warehouse Order Picker-Packer will use an Order Picker to reach inventory from heights of up to 16 feet.  Computer data entry skills are necessary to process the order in our Warehouse Management System. The position of Warehouse Order Picker-Packer is versatile, demanding, and rewarding.  R&S Logistics associates perform their duties with accuracy, efficiency, and a commitment to excellence that helps ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities and Duties:

R&S Logistics Warehouse Order Picker-Packer has a variety of responsibilities and duties, including but not limited to:

-         Commitment to Customer Service

-         Commitment to Warehouse Safety

-         Commitment to Order Accuracy

-         Maintaining a Clean and Safe Environment

-         Operating Powered Industrial Trucks such as Stand-Up Order Pickers and Sit-Down Forklifts

-          Actively Participates in Ongoing Training Programs with Satisfactory Results

-         Picking Customer Orders

-         Repacking Customer Projects

-         Labeling Product with Inventory Tags

-         Verifying & Scanning Inventory

-         Assisting in Warehouse Layout & Location Markings

-         Reporting Damaged or Otherwise Unsafe Equipment to Supervisor

-         Assisting in the Building of Pallet Racking

-         Assisting in Warehouse Maintenance & Improvements

-         Adhering to all Industry-Specific and Site-Specific Safety Requirements

-         Accurately Reporting Time Worked, Including Clock-In/Clock-Out Procedures

-         Adhering to R&S Logistics’ Employee Handbook

Fundamental Job Requirements:

R&S Logistics Warehouse Order Picker-Packer are able to perform the following tasks, with or without accommodations. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as required by law to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

-          Standing and Walking for Prolonged Periods.

-          Ability to work in varying warehouse conditions, including temperature fluctuations and exposure to outdoor weather when loading/unloading.

-          Carrying Loads of Up To 50 Pounds.

-          Bending, Squatting, and Reaching.

-          Intermediate Computer Data Entry and Keyboarding.

-          Demonstrating Manual Dexterity and Cognitive Function Sufficient to Operate Warehouse Machinery and Box Truck.

-          Demonstrating Manual Dexterity Sufficient to Apply Miscellaneous Tracking and Other Labels to Customer Inventory & Shipments.
