Job Purpose

Three Square Food Bank is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing food assistance to individuals and families in need across Southern Nevada. Our mission is to provide wholesome food to hungry people, while passionately pursuing a hunger-free community. Through our partnerships and programs, we distribute millions of meals each year and work tirelessly to address the root causes of hunger in our community.

The Warehouse Receiving Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and timely receiving of all inbound products into Three Square’s (WMS) warehouse management systems, including CERES, AGI, Choice System, and WBSCM. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Receive all incoming products correctly into the WMS inventory system within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Review and execute compliance paperwork as directed by operation leadership and regulating organizations.
  • Work with the Inventory Coordinator to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Report receipts and inventory counts to Three Square team members as needed. 
  • Support the overall warehouse operations including proper food storage, inventory valuation (primarily FIFO), loading, shipping, audit readiness, and maintaining food safety and facility standards as regulated by USDA, NDA, SNHD, AIB, OSHA and Feeding America.
  • The Warehouse Receiving Coordinator may also be assigned to differing daily roles within the warehouse operations such as general housekeeping, picking, and auditing inventory.

Skills

  • Comprehension of inventory systems and warehouse safety standards
  • Effective oral and written communication.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders.  
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail in a timely manner.
  • Understanding and ability to apply standard math calculations.
  • Certified or demonstrated ability to safely and effectively operate warehouse equipment, load bars, load straps, walking pallet jacks, rider pallet jacks, reach lifts, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) and standard office equipment or demonstrate proficiency within six months of employment.
  • Ability to comprehend and learn internal Three-Square systems.
  • Regular and consistent attendance is a must-have.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience within warehouse operations, receiving, or inventory management, preferably within a food bank or food-related warehousing environment. Progressive experience in these areas is strongly preferred. 
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), including CERES or similar platforms, is desirable. Candidates must demonstrate system proficiency within six months of employment.
  • Safe driving record, current vehicle insurance, and the ability to use a personal vehicle
  • Pass a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.  

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • The Warehouse Receiving Coordinator operates in both office and warehouse environments. 
  • Office tasks involve prolonged periods at a computer workstation, while warehouse duties are performed in variable conditions, including cold storage areas (freezer, cooler), dock zones, and general warehouse space.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, climbing stairs, and reaching.
  • Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • Repetitive movements using hands, arms, and legs for handling tools, equipment, and products.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time, often while focusing on computer-based or physical tasks.
  • Operation of office machinery and warehouse equipment.
  • Exposure to fluctuating temperatures, dust, pollen, and varying noise levels.
  • Close proximity to co-workers and face-to-face interactions with individuals or teams.
  • Occasional exposure to distracting sounds or activity levels.
  • Requires strong focus, memory, and multitasking in both physical and mental tasks.
  • Safety awareness and adherence to proper personal protective equipment use and operational protocols are essential.
