Warehouse Safety Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Safety Coordinator is responsible for promoting a safe work environment by implementing safety programs, conducting inspections, facilitating training, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. This position plays a key role in identifying risks, minimizing hazards, and fostering a safety-first culture throughout the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily/weekly/monthly safety inspections and      audits throughout the warehouse.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA standards and internal      safety policies.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and incidents;      document findings and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate and conduct safety training for new hires      and refresher courses for existing staff (e.g., PPE usage, forklift      safety, hazard communication).
• Maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and safety      documentation.
• Assist in developing and implementing safety policies,      SOPs, and emergency response plans.
• Track and manage warehouse safety metrics and incident      reports.
• Serve as a liaison between management and staff for all      safety-related matters.
• Ensure proper signage and labeling is maintained      throughout the facility.
• Monitor and maintain safety equipment (e.g., fire      extinguishers, eye wash stations, first aid kits, PPE supplies).

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; Associate or      Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Management, or related field      preferred.

• 2+ years of safety experience in a warehouse,      logistics, or industrial environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, Cal/OSHA (if applicable),      and workplace safety best practices.
• Certified in OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead safety meetings, investigations, and      training sessions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety      tracking software is a plus.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a warehouse environment with      exposure to forklifts, loading docks, and varying temperatures.
• Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting of      up to 50 lbs.
• May involve occasional evening or weekend hours for      audits or incident investigations.
