Warehouse Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Specialist to support a growing warehouse operation within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is part of a newly developed warehouse training and operations support department and will be instrumental in establishing best practices, refining processes, and ensuring inventory accuracy across the facility.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background, experience with SOP development, auditing practices, and deep knowledge of inventory control transactions. Candidates with prior supervisory experience in an automotive manufacturing warehouse are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of warehouse training programs.

• Create, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for warehouse functions.

• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with operational, safety, and quality standards.

• Analyze and resolve inventory discrepancies; maintain accuracy of inventory control systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize warehouse processes and material flow.

• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance on warehouse systems and transactions.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and accuracy.

• Assist with onboarding and training of warehouse personnel.

• Contribute to operational readiness for incoming business expansions and new product launches.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of warehouse or logistics experience within a manufacturing environment; automotive industry experience strongly preferred.

• Prior supervisory or team-lead experience in a warehouse setting.

• Strong understanding of inventory control transactions, cycle counts, and warehouse systems.

• Experience creating SOPs, process documentation, or training materials.

• Auditing or quality assurance experience is a plus.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
