Job Summary:
The Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for managing the receiving process, ensuring that all incoming inventory is accurately received and recorded, and maintaining a clean and organized receiving area. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and experience working in a warehouse or receiving environment.
Responsibilities include:
Receive and process incoming inventory, including verifying quantities and inspecting items for damage
Accurately record received inventory in the warehouse management system
Collaborate with purchasing and inventory teams to resolve discrepancies or issues with received inventory
Organize and maintain the receiving area, ensuring it is clean and free of clutter
Coordinate with carriers and logistics providers to schedule inbound shipments
Conduct quality control checks on received inventory, ensuring that it meets the required quality standards
Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and inventory reconciliation
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements include:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience working in a warehouse or receiving environment preferred
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of receiving procedures and regulations
