Lead, motivate, and make a difference! Join our El Paso warehouse team and play a key role in driving operational excellence every day. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, while leading, coaching, and supporting the shipping and receiving team to achieve outstanding results.
Responsibilities
Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Shipping and Receiving Department.
Distribute and oversee the daily workflow for all LTL, FedEx, UPS, and DHL Shipments both domestic and international.
Obtain quotes for LTL shipments, negotiate pricing and schedule trucks.
Create all IMO and Hazmat declarations.
Lead, train, motivate and develop direct reports. Maintain Training Records.
Effectively communicate company goals and objectives to the staff.
Manage cross training within the department.
Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees’ performance.
Manage the picking, receiving and storage of inventory.
Assist Customer Service with any requests for information and/or expedite requests.
Organize and maintain inventory and storage area and ensure inventory accuracy.
Manage operational effectiveness of the warehouse to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Manage the weekly cycle counts and conduct root cause analysis on any inventory discrepancies.
Maintain shipping documents, necessary information in good order.
Utilize the ERP system and reports to project warehouse workload.
Assist with root cause analysis of all non-conformities along with any corrective actions.
Collaborate with Quality to create or revise SOP’s and/or Work Instructions and cross train as a backup for Quality Assurance needs
Identify areas for improvement and establish or improve work procedures and practices.
Maintain 5S within the warehouse and shipping/receiving areas.
Enforce AIM policies, OSHA regulations, and specific customer specifications.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
Additional duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry in a similar role.
Highly effective supervisory skills/ techniques with proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.
Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Good communication skills, team player.
Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
Available to work on flexible working hours when required.
Familiar with ISO9001 / ISO TS16949 / IATF16949 / Statistical process control
