Warehouse Supervisor

POSITION DETAILS

Position Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor in a manufacturing organization directs the activities of employees engaged in Receiving and Warehouse.  The Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor also ensures the safety of workers in the organization by setting safety policies for the department. 

Principal Activities

• Manage employees’ daily activities to insure production efficiencies.


• Manage employees hours to insure minimal overtime


• Conduct annual performance reviews


• Place employees on verbal and written counseling, as needed


• Train employees in fundamentals of production as well as cross train the staff in all facets of production.


• Conduct interviews on potential candidates.


• Inform Human Resources and Operations Manager of all employee resignations and termination.


• Assign tasks and projects to Group Leads.


• Insure in meeting the production schedule.


• Maintain work area, equipment and supplies in a near, safe and ordering condition.


• Report any problems or difficulties to the Operations Manager.


• Perform other duties as assigned.


• Must meet attendance and punctuality requirements for position.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

• Relevant experience.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.


• Results oriented, with sound judgment. 


• Excellent knowledge of supply chain management theories processes and practices.


• Excellent demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.


• Excellent demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and strategic skills.


• Superior interpersonal skills.


• Ability to perform multi-faceted projects in rapidly changing environment.


• Resourceful and well organized. 

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent


• 7 years experience in warehouse


• 2 years supervisory experience
