Warehouse Supervisor- Dairy

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee warehouse operations at our new facility in Hugoton, Kansas. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, responsible for ensuring smooth inbound and outbound logistics, inventory management, and compliance with safety standards. This role requires expertise in warehouse operations and forklift driver certification to support operational needs directly when required. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Warehouse Operations Management:

   - Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and shipment of materials and products. 

   - Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits. 

   - Manage the flow of raw and packaging materials to production lines and finished goods to distribution. 

1. Team Leadership:

   - Supervise and train warehouse staff to ensure high performance and compliance with company standards. 

   - Coordinate schedules and tasks to meet operational demands. 

   - Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and collaboration. 

1. Equipment and Safety Compliance:

   - Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment, including forklifts. 

   - Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations. 

   - Act as a certified forklift driver when operational support is required. 

1. Process Improvement:

   - Identify opportunities for process optimization to improve efficiency and reduce costs. 

   - Implement best practices in warehouse management and materials handling. 

1. Reporting and Documentation:

   - Prepare and maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and operational metrics. 

   - Generate reports for management review and provide insights into warehouse performance. 

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is a plus. 

- Minimum 3-5 years of warehouse operations or logistics experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. 

- Forklift driver certification required and experience operating forklifts safely. 

- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes. 

- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail. 

- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a diverse team. 

- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
