Job Description - Warehouse Supervisor - Fort Lauderdale

Parts and Field Service is a global organization with harmonized processes and tools to deliver the best possible service to our customers. We value diversity, collaboration, respect, and a strong commitment to safety, wellbeing, and the environment. Working for a sustainable future.

Wärtsilä, a SMART technology company, is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team working for a better future.

The position is permanent, and the location is Fort Lauderdale, FL

What You Will Be Doing?

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will take ownership of daily warehouse operations at our Fort Lauderdale location. You’ll lead by example on the floor, making sure materials flow smoothly in and out, inventory is accurate, safety comes first, and our customers receive the best possible service.

This role blends handson warehouse work with leadership responsibilities. You’ll coordinate people, processes, and partners, support operational planning, and step in whenever leadership or problemsolving is needed — including acting as backup for the Warehouse Manager and participating in oncall duty.

You’ll work closely with warehouse associates, internal teams, transportation partners, vendors, and customers, playing a key role in keeping operations running efficiently and reliably.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate daily warehouse operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and service quality.

  • Plan and manage warehouse capacity to meet operational demands.

  • Oversee inbound and outbound flows — receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and production orders.

  • Ensure safe loading and unloading of trucks and containers, including forklift and equipment operation.

  • Maintain inventory accuracy through inspections, cycle counts, and system updates.

  • Act as the main local contact for internal teams, customers, vendors, transportation partners, and Real Estate.

  • Coach, train, and support warehouse associates, including onboarding new team members.

  • Drive problemsolving and continuous improvement when issues arise.

  • Ensure proper documentation, reporting, housekeeping, and availability of tools and supplies.

  • Support local transportation requests and participate in oncall duty as required.

  • Step in for the Warehouse Manager when needed.

  • Promote a strong safety culture through risk assessments and safe ways of working.

  • Deliver excellent customer service every day.

What You Bring?

Education

  • High school diploma or technical education in logistics, warehouse operations, or a related field.

Experience

  • Experience in warehouse or logistics operations, ideally in industrial or service environments.

  • Experience leading or coordinating daily warehouse activities.

  • Comfort working in fastpaced, handson operational settings.

Skills & Mindset

  • A strong safetyfirst mindset and ability to assess operational risks.

  • Handson leadership and coaching style.

  • Strong planning, organization, and problemsolving skills.

  • Clear and professional communication skills.

  • Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and oncall duty as required.

  • Ability to perform physical work in a warehouse environment.

  • Experience with SAP or other warehouse management systems.

  • Confidence working with both internal and external stakeholders.

As an Ideal Candidate, We Expect You to Have:

  • High integrity and accountability.

  • Passion for customer service and operational excellence.

  • Strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

  • Critical thinking and problemsolving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in languages required to support the team.

  • Strong teamplayer mindset with the ability to work across diverse cultural backgrounds.

Physical & Mental / Reasoning Demands:

These are physical and mental requirements of the position as it is typically performed:

  • Vision: Close; Distance; Depth

  • Color Perception (Red, Green, Amber)

  • Hearing / Listening

  • Clear Speech

  • Touching: Dexterity; Hand; Finger

  • Ability to Mount and Dismount Forklift / Truck

  • Pushing / Pulling / Stoop / Kneel / Crouch or Crawl

  • Lifting: 45 pounds; 5 times per shift

  • Carrying: 25 pounds; 5 times per shift

  • Driving (local / over the road)

  • Bend / Squat / Sit and Stand for prolonged periods

  • Climbing / Balance

Successful applicants must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.

As part of the recruitment process, certain roles will be subject to preemployment conditions, which can include — but are not limited to — reference checks, background screening (criminal record, education, and employment verification), fittowork medical assessments, and confirmation of eligibility to work in USA.

The starting salary for this position will be determined considering the successful candidate’s relevant education, individual skill set, level of experience applicable to the role, and internal equity.

Last application date: 26/06/2026
