Warehouse Supervisor - Shipping & E-commerce - 7am-3:30pm

Job Summary:

The Shipping/Ecommerce Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the teams that load finished goods onto outbound trailers. The supervisor is also responsible for overseeing the Ecommerce Team and all processes related to that department. This role ensures efficient and accurate shipping / order fulfillment and replenishment operations, adherence to safety standards, and proper handling of all associated paperwork. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, attention to detail and processes, innovative mindset and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Management:




• Supervise, train, develop and evaluate warehouse staff.


• Schedule and coordinate shifts to ensure adequate staffing levels.


• Foster a positive, productive and accountable work environment.




• Shipping Operations:




• Oversee the safe loading of pallets onto outbound trailers of various modes: Flatbed, Van, IMDL, Container.


• Ensure all loads are secured, damage free, and meet safety standards.


• Coordinate with the logistics team to manage loading schedules and priorities.


• Ensure loading teams are securing products to avoid potential damage.


• Responsible for making sure all outbound load paperwork is completed and systematically completed.


• Verify and process all paperwork related to loading activities, including shipping manifests, load sheets, and bills of lading.


• Maintain accurate records of loaded shipments.


• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.




• Ecommerce Operations:




• Supervises department, delegates tasks to E-Commerce Lead and team of laborers.


• Ensure safe, efficient and accurate processing of fulfillment orders. Additionally focusing on proper packing and shipping methods to end customers.


• Accurate and timely replenishment of stock, reports stock shortages and collaborates with Inventory Control Team on discrepancies.




• Safety and Compliance:




• Enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.


• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.


• Supervisor ensures safe and clean work areas are maintained throughout daily operations, including all internal/external working areas.




• Communication:




• Open communication with other departments, such as receiving, inventory control, production, quality control, and transportation, to ensure smooth operations.


• Provide regular updates to the Warehouse Manager on daily loading activities and Ecommerce Operations.




• Continuous Improvement:




• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.


• Participate in and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.


• Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment.


• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, particularly shipping, replenishment and order fulfillment procedures.


• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.


• Proficient in using warehouse management systems (SAP preferred), and other relevant software.


• Strong leadership and team-building skills.


• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.


• Commitment to safety and compliance.


• Willingness to adjust schedule to meet business needs

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.


• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and moving throughout the warehouse.


• Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, if necessary.

Working Conditions:

• Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, climates and noise levels.
