Job Description - Warehouse Trainer

About Gifthealth

Gifthealth is on a mission to bring an easier, more affordable pharmacy experience to patients and providers around the country. In less than a year, we have served thousands of patients and are expanding nationally at a rapid pace. Health is our most precious gift. And our team believes it should be a priority, not a privilege. We are Gifthealth.

Position Overview

The Warehouse Trainer plays a key role in onboarding and developing warehouse associates by delivering hands-on training and supporting continuous process improvement. This is a working trainer position, meaning that when not actively facilitating training or performing trainer-specific duties, you will operate as a Warehouse Associate—contributing directly to daily operations such as inventory management, shipping/receiving, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace.

You will ensure that all team members are equipped with the knowledge, tools, and best practices needed to maintain high levels of performance, safety, and efficiency. In addition, you will help implement and reinforce standard operating procedures and operational improvements across the team.

How You’ll Help Us Improve Healthcare

By delivering structured and effective training, you’ll ensure our warehouse team is consistently operating at a high standard—accurately fulfilling orders, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and contributing to operational excellence that ultimately improves the patient experience.

Training & Onboarding

  • Facilitate hands-on training for new warehouse associates on standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, equipment use, and day-to-day responsibilities.

  • Deliver refresher training sessions and cross-training as needed to upskill existing team members.

  • Evaluate training effectiveness through observation, performance tracking, and feedback loops.

Process Improvement

  • Partner with Warehouse Leadership to identify and implement operational improvements and process efficiencies.

  • Support the rollout of new tools, systems, or workflows and provide frontline training during transitions.

  • Maintain and update training materials to reflect current procedures and best practices.

Operational Support

  • When not engaged in training, actively perform the responsibilities of a Warehouse Associate, including:

    • Inventory counts and stock replenishment for shipping supplies and product.

    • Receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming shipments.

    • Preparing and packing orders, including ice pack preparation during seasonal demand.

    • Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and organization in compliance with safety protocols.

  • Serve as a go-to resource on the floor for questions, SOP clarifications, and informal coaching.

A Few Things About You

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum 1–2 years of warehouse experience; experience in a training, lead, or supervisory role is a plus.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to train and coach individuals at varying experience levels.

  • Proficient in warehouse procedures and safety standards.

  • Ability to follow and demonstrate standard operating procedures at all times.

  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, hand trucks, and cardboard bailers.

  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software is preferred.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently to manage training schedules and priorities.

  • Passion for helping others grow and succeed in their roles.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move products up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.

  • Physical ability to operate equipment and machinery such as pallet jack, hand trucks, cardboard bailer, and forklift (upon training and certification)

  • Comfort with working in a warehouse setting, including exposure to various environmental conditions (temperature, noise, etc.).

Our Offer To Ensure You Choose Gifthealth

  • Competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Retirement savings plan (401k) with company match.

  • Generous paid time off

  • Continuous professional development opportunities in a supportive and innovative work environment.

Gifthealth is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
