POSITION SUMMARY:
With direction from Warehouse Supervisor, this position is responsible for receiving, shipping,
and counting inventory,
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
* Verify and receive incoming shipments, including PO receipts, transfers, and returns.
Notate any damages or shortages upon receipt.
* Prepare outbound shipments, including picking, packing, palletizing, wrapping, and
labeling. Ensure that shipment is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping.
* Process any shipments requiring special preparations, including special customer labeling
and customized pallets, and export orders.
* Perform regular cycle counts; identify any missing, lost, or damaged materials and
immediately notify the supervisor.
* Operate gas powered or electric forklifts in accordance with safety guidelines.
* Perform daily forklift checks and perform minor maintenance and adjustments.
* Ensure that the warehouse is clean and organized and that all safety issues are reported.
* Remain vigilant and cognizant of all potential theft or loss situations; ensure that
warehouse is secure when unattended.
* Performs other job functions as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Prior experience working in a warehouse.
* Knowledge of operating a forklift (forklift certified is preferred)
* Ability to work on feet for 8 hours and lift loads up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to work independently and safely.
* Quick learner
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good PC skills
* Reliable, dependable work ethic
* Works well independently, and as part of a team
