Warehouseman

Duties/Responsibilities:

•  Receive, unload, and organize incoming shipments and inventory.
• Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space.
• Perform regular inventory counts and assist with inventory management.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet production targets.
• Label and track inventory using warehouse management systems.
• Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks.
• Attention to details and organizational skills.
• Provide support for special projects and tasks as needed.
• Perform routine inspection of equipment and report any issues.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs for warehouse equipment.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.

Requirements

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a warehouseman or similar role
• Experience working in a distribution center.
• Ability to operate forklift and other warehouse equipment
• Familiarity with inventory software and systems
• Basic math skills for inventory management
• Valid driver’s license.
• CDL preferred
• forklift certification preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to navigate the loading materials, which may include access to a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, reaching, climbing, bending, and standing.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
• Ability to move around the warehouse.
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in a warehouse.
