Job Description - Warranty Service Specialist


As a Warranty Services Specialist, you’ll take the lead in ensuring our clients remain supported long after construction is complete. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strong client service, as you assess warranty needs, perform repairs, and coordinate trade partner work to resolve issues quickly and effectively. From troubleshooting problems to managing follow-up, you’ll play a key role in protecting project quality, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring every building continues to perform at its best.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Client Liaison

  • Serve as primary client contact for warranty issues and maintain strong relationships.
  • Communicate openly with clients to address concerns and coordinate access with minimal disruption.

Warranty Repairs

  • Perform hands-on warranty repairs and coordinate additional support when needed.
  • Troubleshoot issues to identify root causes and responsibility.
  • Collaborate with project teams to assess, prioritize, and resolve warranty needs.

Warranty Management

  • Coordinate and track warranty repairs with trade partners and suppliers.
  • Monitor timelines, material orders, and completion schedules.
  • Support project managers in managing warranty records and processes.
  • Participate in client O&M training to strengthen system knowledge.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of issues, resolutions, timelines, and accountability.
  • Prepare and distribute a weekly warranty dashboard to operations and leadership.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.  
  • 5+ years of experience in the commercial construction industry, or related field. 

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Broad knowledge of construction methods, systems, and materials.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Strong communication and client service orientation.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed.
  • Collaborative with flexibility to support wherever needed.

Work Environment:

  • Regional travel required; typically day trips, with occasional overnight travel.
  • Adapt to varying work environments and building types.
  • Flexibility for early morning, evening, or weekend repairs as needed for client operations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to do the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:
  • Lift, push or pull materials weighing up to 80 lbs. (25 lbs. consistently) 
  • Walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb and squat in cramped or awkward positions on a frequent basis. 
  • Climb to unlimited heights on ladders or scaffolds. 
  • Operate machinery that vibrates (drills, sanders, jackhammers, etc.) on a repetitive basis. 
  • Perform tasks that require gross and fine hand motions and coordination. 
  • Perform tasks that require clear and sharp vision.
