Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Sales Consultant who’s driven and ready to share their knowledge of how our company can make an impact by assisting educators and librarians.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Contact prospective customers and effectively communicate Mackin’s numerous services and multiple product lines in a defined geographic territory.
  • Develop customers, facilitate orders, and establish mutually beneficial relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • Follow up on leads from multiple sources.
  • Drive sales and achieve targeted sales goals.
  • Work with our teams of customer care and customer support to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Ability to uncover customer’s needs and present solutions that benefit both the customer and Mackin.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a defined territory, and work with multiple people and departments.
  • Ability to learn, develop product knowledge, and react quickly.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills that will result in high closure rates.
  • Understanding of library practices and overall educational practices.
  • Applicants must reside in either Oregon or Washington and have a valid drivers' license.

Education & Experience:

  • Knowledge of K-12 education industry helpful, but not mandatory
  • Sales experience a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High energy
  • Positive attitude
  • Minimum 4-year college degree

Salary, Compensation, and Hours

  • Set your own schedule
  • Base Salary plus commission
  • Salary range including commission: $80,000 - $100,000+
