Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO), managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Waste Information Tracking System IDC Programmer and join our team located in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work with project participants to develop software requirements, translate those requirements into design documentation, and implement the design in code using Visual Basic.NET to produce finished software. The candidate is also expected to perform software maintenance and updates, write and execute Software Test Plans, and perform Software Quality Assurance actions during the Software Development Life Cycle. The candidate will interact with users providing application support and processing data change requests, as well as evaluating requests for changes to the software. This position also requires the ability to administer Microsoft SQL Server databases, including database creation, tuning, indexing and job scheduling.

Exempt grade level(s) 29-32. Salary range: $76,663 to $145,184 per year -- the specific salary offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors, particularly the candidate’s relevant experience and education.
