Waste Removal and Transportation Specialist (CDL Required)

Description

Marshall Farms Manure Operator/Hauling is directly responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and healthy animal environment by removing manure and replenishing the sand base and hauling product to various sites as directed by the Supervisor Manure Operator/Hauling. This is a critical part of raising and maintaining healthy and happy Marshall animals.

This position is a grade N6 with a pay range of $24.31-$36.48/hour. 

Hours: Mon - Fri 7a-330p

Duties Include:  

A. Removing manure from animal buildings on a weekly basis and follow a schedule that coincides with the wash schedule.

B. Transporting equipment to other facilities.

C. Scheduling and replenishing the sand base in the animal buildings as needed.

D. Performing daily regular maintenance of their equipment as needed: example greasing, tighten chains, checking fluids.

E. Working independently and or in a group setting.

F. Hauling different shipping crate, feed, bedding and other supplies to all the facilities.

G. Communicating with the Supervisor of Manure Removal operations to address concerns related to this position.

Requirements

This position requires a high school diploma or GED and requires the individual to have and maintain a CDL.

The individual must be able to operate specialized equipment and do so in a safe and effective fashion. 

Equipment used includes:

Manure machine, Manure vacuum remover machine, sand machine, floor washer, Payloader, Forklift and other tactor/farm style equipment. 

Work Conditions:

Conditions are often hot and humid, with frequent animal contact. Duties are performed primarily on 1st shift with varying extended hours including occasional weekend work. 

Work is physically demanding with a requirement to lift animals. Job duties may be performed while wearing personal protective equipment. Position requires operation of large, motorized equipment.
