Well, then Handex might be for you! We are currently seeking a N2 Licensed Industrial Wastewater Operator to service our client operations in Pleasantville, New Jersey.

What will be my responsibilities and objectives:

· As the N2 Licensed Industrial Wastewater Operator, you will report to the Operator in Charge and be responsible for operating, maintenance and performance of wastewater treatment remediation system.

· Will be scheduled for day shift (M-F) to operate, inspect, adjust, and monitor process equipment, meters, gauges, and controls to detect problems and to maintain proper levels of operation and systems performance.

· Communicate daily with clients, regulatory personnel, management and colleagues.

· Perform process control testing and field testing of water. Record and adjust pH levels, process chemicals, including flocculants and coagulants, using mixers, pumps, and metering devices.

· Ensure the wastewater treatment system is operating within compliance, follow all Company Standard Operating Procedures and apply, and adhere to all safety procedures as required.

· Keep abreast of industry knowledge and maintain active license.

· Ensure job sites and company vehicle is neat, clean and free of debris.

· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Skills needed for success:

· High school diploma/GED required. Vocational Technical training in wastewater, mechanical, plumbing or auto mechanics a plus.

· NJ Industrial Wastewater Operator’s License N2 required.

· 7+ years of Waste Water Treatment experience in operations and maintenance(chemical injection, pH adjustment, clarification, advanced oxidation with UV treatment and carbon adsorption).

· 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification and TWIC Card preferred. Will be required to obtain.

· Required to walk and stand for extended periods of time, work sometimes in severe weather conditions and varying locations that may or may not require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

· Ability to work overtime when required.

· Reliable and self-motivated who is also a team player.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

· Valid driver's license in good standing is required.

· Ability to pass background checks (criminal/drug/alcohol/MVR) required.
