(Crew Leader)

The Village of Carol Stream’s Public Works Department seeks a qualified and motivated individual to serve as a crew lead, performing skilled manual activities within the Water & Sewer division. Responsibilities include inspection, maintenance and repair of water distribution and wastewater collection systems and new construction.   This position requires light supervision and instruction to entry-level and less experienced employees, assists the division Supervisor in daily planning and scheduling, works with contractors, and also assists in some streets and public grounds activities including snow operations.

Qualified individuals must possess the following:

• High School Degree or Equivalent


• Valid CDL Driver’s License (Class B with air-brake endorsement)


• 3 Years’ Experience in Water and Sewer System Operations


• Must hold a Certification as a Class “D” Illinois Water Supply Operator

Starting salary for this position is $75,436.24.  Excellent benefit package provided, including health (80% employer paid), dental, and life insurance, as well as IMRF pension system.
