Water Jet Operator

A water jet operator is skilled in utilizing specialized equipment to precisely cut a variety of materials using pressurized streams of water. Their responsibilities include setting up and operating the water jet machine, ensuring maintenance and safety protocols are followed.

• Operate water jet cutting machines to produce precision cut parts according to specifications

• Perform preventive maintenance and light repairs on the waterjet

• Set up, adjust, and maintain machinery for optimal performance


• Inspect finished products for quality control and adjust settings as necessary


• Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning and lubrication


• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient production flow


• Safely moving rubber product and finished goods, handle large, heavy rubber sheet, plate and parts using proper equipment.


• Operating a sit-down forklift.


• Update product volume and quality paperwork.


• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times

Housekeeping

Requirements:

• Experience operating water jet machines beneficial


• Knowledge of safety procedures related to water jet operation


• Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials – up to 100 lbs.


• Attention to detail and ability to maintain high accuracy in cutting


• Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that may arise during operation


• Familiarity with maintenance and upkeep of water jet machines
