Water Meter Technician- Utilities Division

Water Meter Technician: The Water Meter Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing the City’s water and sewer lines, cleaning catch basins, reading water meters, and effecting repairs to water meters. Responsible for making special readings as required, cutting off and restoring water service, and accepting delinquent payments. Responsible for spot checking visible plumbing for water leaks; observing for obvious malfunctioning of meters, and removing and replacing meters.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
•High School diploma or GED

•Experience in reading and routine maintenance of meters, gauges, office equipment or similar mechanical equipment or equivalent.

•Valid Driver’s license

SALARY: $22.45 PER HOUR
