Position: Water Mitigation Technician

Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm (Full Time), overtime hours on evenings and weekends if emergency calls come in

Pay: $20-$25 per hour DOE

Job Description:

We're hiring a hard-working, motivated Water Mitigation Technician to join our storm restoration company. We specialize in fast, effective response to water damage caused by hurricanes, heavy storms, flooding, and other weather-related emergencies affecting homes and businesses throughout our region.

In this hands-on role, you'll play a key part in helping property owners recover quickly after a disaster, performing critical mitigation work that gets structures dried, stabilized, and ready for the next steps of restoration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to water loss emergencies and perform mitigation services, including water extraction, demolition (demo), and structural drying.
• Set up and operate equipment such as dehumidifiers, air movers (fans), and extractors.
• Use moisture meters and thermal imaging cameras to assess and monitor drying progress on water losses.
• Document damages accurately using Encircle or similar platforms for insurance and project tracking.
• Service, maintain, and keep equipment in top working condition.

What We're Looking For:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a background check.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Hands-on experience in water mitigation and equipment operation.
• IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) certification
• A positive, can-do attitude with strong motivation to deliver excellent results.
