Platinum Restoration is seeking a dedicated Water Mitigation Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for responding to water damage emergencies, mitigating damage, and restoring affected properties to pre-loss conditions. Who we are:
Platinum Restoration is a locally owned contractor that specializes in insurance restoration projects, both commercial and residential. As an A+ accredited business with the Better Business Bureau, we service clients in Cuyahoga, Lorain, Huron, Erie, Medina and Summit counties, and offer complete restoration from emergency loss mitigation to total reconstruction. Our team of Project Manager, Field Supervisors and Subcontractors have over 20-years of experience in the insurance restoration industry, so we are the ideal choice for your residential or commercial restoration needs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Respond promptly to water damage emergencies, including floods, fire, leaks, and burst pipes.
- Assess and mitigate water damage using industry-standard equipment such as pumps, extractors, and dehumidifiers.
- Remove damaged materials, such as furniture, drywall, flooring, and insulation, as necessary to prevent further damage and facilitate drying.
- Carefully pack out and pack in of clients personal items for cleaning and safe keeping. Clean and disinfect duties included.
- Clean and disinfect affected areas to prevent mold growth and ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Monitor and document the drying process, including moisture levels and progress reports.
- Communicate effectively with property owners, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders throughout the mitigation process.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards at all times.
- Assist with reconstruction and restoration efforts as needed to complete the restoration process.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Previous experience in water mitigation or related fields preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, emergency situations.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
- The ability to work a rotating “On-Call” 24 hour schedule every few weeks. Includes additional “On-Call” pay and overtime potential.

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday 8:00 - 4:30 with 1 hour lunch break
