What You’ll Do
As a Water Restoration Lead Technician, you’ll lead the charge in delivering top-tier restoration services while ensuring every job meets IICRC standards. Your role will include:
Leading Restoration and Cleaning Projects: Effectively perform water damage and cleaning services, while coordinating with team members and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and safety policies. Lead Technician will be cross-trained in carpet and specialty cleaning if needed.
Customer Excellence: Communicate directly with homeowners and business owners, assessing damage, presenting solutions, and ensuring a seamless, stress-free experience.
Team Mentorship: Train and supervise technicians on techniques, safety procedures and equipment use, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Documentation: Oversee reporting and documentation for all restoration and cleaning projects, including detailed and accurate work orders, client records, and billing information.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency calls.
Equipment & Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure company vehicles, equipment, and supplies are maintained, keeping inventory stocked and ready for action.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a self-starter with leadership skills and a passion for restoration and cleaning. Ideal candidates will have:
Experience: Minimum 2+ years of recent water damage restoration experience; IICRC certifications below preferred, but not required:
- Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)
- Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT)
- Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD)
- Mold Remediation Specialist (MRS)
- Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT)
Skills: Strong problem-solving, basic computer proficiency, proficiency with restoration software such as Xactimate.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, someone who thrives in a fast-past environment and has a customer-first mindset to build trust with clients and inspire your team.
Education: High school diploma or GED; additional technical training or certifications a plus.
