Description

The Waterpark Maintenance Pool Cleaner, Pressure Washer, and Cabana Cleaner is an overnight position that is responsible for ensuring a safe and clean environment for guests. This role is responsible for cleaning cabanas to ensure they are prepared for the following day of operations, pool brushing, skimming pools, vacuuming pools, and pressure washing throughout the entire facility ensuring safe standards that meet all required quality standards set by both the manufacturer and the brand, resulting in maximum operating time and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performs waterpark in-water pool cleaning duties including but not limited to:
  • Vacuuming pools and attractions
  • Brushing sides of pools and attractions
  • Skimming pools and attractions
• Heavy-duty pressure washing of all walls, floors, stairs, chairs, tables, restrooms, waterpark attractions, and other applicable equipment.
• Understand operating instructions, and hazardous material warnings, and maintain all cleaning equipment and supplies such as Gas and/or Electric Power Washers, Floor Scrubbers, Mops/Buckets, Gas masks, Muriatic acid, and bleach.
• Makes sure that proper cleaning supplies are used when cleaning floors.
• Ensures that waterpark area floors are clean of dirt and grime and debris.
• Perform tasks efficiently and in compliance with all safety rules and regulations. While maintaining a well-organized work area.
• Uses and reinforces safe chemical handling in addition to following and adhering to SDS practices and procedures as outlined by Showboat standards, OSHA, EPA, Green Seal, and Federal, State, and Local laws.

Performs Cabana Cleaning procedures as followed:

• Stage cabana furniture accurately
• Clean and sanitize all cabanas following guidelines set by Island Waterpark
• May only use equipment and chemicals issued by Island Waterpark
• Keep work area clean and well organized.
• Responsible for following all the Island Waterpark policies and procedures as outlined in park manuals.
• Comply with all the Island Waterpark dress code and grooming standards.
• Perform opening and closing duties as outlined by department manager/supervisor.

Basic Qualifications

• Willingness to work flexible schedule including overnights, weekends, and/or Holidays as needed.
• Ability to complete tasks simultaneously.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Basic working knowledge of chemicals, tools, equipment, and supplies used in providing comprehensive building/water park maintenance services.
• Possess organization and time management skills.

Physical Requirements

• Heavy work - Exerting up to 80 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
• Flexible and long hours are sometimes required including weekends, holidays, and overnights. Time spent may be dictated by the number of clients or groups on property or by the time of the season.
• Ability to move frequently throughout the large facility. Including exposure to extreme heights and small claustrophobic spaces.
• Standing and walking for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work in environmental conditions that include but are not limited to: Wet and humid environments, indoor tropical environmental conditions with up to 90% humidity and warm temperatures in excess of 70F, as well as outdoor environmental conditions.
