Our client is seeking a dedicated and career-minded Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our rapidly expanding Water/Wastewater Consultant Engineering Practice. This position is ideal for professionals aspiring towards advancement within the field. As a team member, you will utilize your expertise in applicable design criteria, regulatory requirements, standards, and processes to lead projects successfully.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering Design Leadership: Plan, lead, and execute engineering designs in the Water/Wastewater field, managing multiple design projects simultaneously.
- Project Management: Prepare and update project schedules, ensuring progress aligns with the timeline for completion.
- Design Coordination: Develop and analyze critical design elements, effectively coordinate a design team, ensuring project requirements and stakeholder feedback are incorporated.
- Quality Contribution: Deliver efficient engineering evaluation and design services with minimal supervision to support project team objectives, ensuring high-quality deliverables that satisfy customer expectations.
- Collaboration: Work alongside a team of engineers on exciting projects involving sewershed study and rehabilitation, new sewer design, water distribution, water/wastewater treatment, and pump station projects.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Develop precise reports and analyses based on project requirements and alternative studies.
- Utilize survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and topographical/geologic data to plan and execute tasks effectively.
- Identify and assess deficiencies in collection/distribution systems, predict future issues, and develop viable solutions for planning and design.
- Demonstrate proficiency in hydraulic designs, sewer rehabilitation, water and sewer design, and Water/Wastewater pump station and treatment process designs.
- Engage in engineering economics, specification preparation, and report writing, ensuring comprehensive and accurate documentation.
Qualifications:
- Strong familiarity with heavy construction principles and environmental facility operation-related experience is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and incorporate engineering economics into design and planning projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at preparing clear, concise, and informative engineering reports.
