Waymaker Institute Residency

The Waymaker Institute Residency is a two-year Program that focuses on three key areas to give you the foundational tools to help you in life and in ministry: Education, Ministry Training, and Spiritual Formation.

The average time spent per week for Waymaker Instituate residents will be 40 hours.

• Character and Personal Development: 2-4 hours per week
• Theological Development: 1-2 hours per week
• Staff Meetings and Staff Trainings: 2-3 hours per week
• Professional Development: 1-2 hours per week
• Education: 2 hours per week
• Specialized Track: 15-20 hours per week
• Administration & Support Raising: 1-2 hours per week
• Sunday Services: 7 hours per week (available to serve different ministries)

Residents are required to participate in continuing education. It is highly recommended that Residents have completed an undergraduate degree at an accredited institution. No matter their educational background, residents will be required to participate in WMI's 200-level classes as a component of the program.

Residents participate in weekly environments that provide opportunities for spiritual development and personal growth. These environments intentionally emphasize teaching, prayer, worship, and the practice of spiritual gifts to shape and form each student’s character and heart.

Residents are considered employees at Waymaker.Church and participate in all staff functions. Potential ministry areas include:

• Student Ministry: Middle School
• Student Ministry: High School
• Kids Ministry: Birth-4th Grade
• Creative Team (Graphic Design/Videography)

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Ministry experience
• Leadership experience
