Title: Outreach Specialist
Reports to: Outreach Coordinator
Classification: Non-Exempt
Job Summary: Develops potential home weatherization and healthy homes opportunities through contact with homeowners, tenants, housing providers and property managers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify and execute engagement strategies that foster participation in Weatherization programs. Entities include but aren't limited to the following:
- Housing providers
- Property managers
- Homeowners
- Tenants
- Group homes and shelters
- Establishes strong relationships with potential referral partners and maintain regular contacts for purposes of providing energy efficiency service information and soliciting referrals
- Advocates for energy savings and weatherization issues for the low income and disadvantaged
- Ensures client satisfaction by resolving and responding to particpant issues and requests
- Collect client documentation and create a client fikle including all required program documents
- Process applications
- Schedule inspections
- Collaboration with contractors and vendors
- Demonstrate understanding of program grant policy and procedures which include but aren't limited to the following:
- Parameters
- Eligibility
- Production goals and unit costs
- Maintain files and documents in accordance with agency and program guidelines
- Track and maintain data related to outreach and marketing strategies
- Accurately input dwelling information such as client demographics, assessment data, and appliance delivery in OCEAN and generate monthly reports of both programs
- Other duties as assigned
Inventory Specifics:
Assists with clerical and administrative functions that support the Weatherization department such as inventory, logistics, tracking data, and other related functions as assigned.
Working Conditions and Physical Reuirements:
Standard office environment. Requires ability to sit, move about and operate telephone and personal computer for extended periods of time.

Minimum Education and Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in social work or related field or equivalent knowledge/experience
Two years' experience in a community engagement/outreach position with responsibility for customer service
Ohio Driver's License, reliable transportation, and ability to meet Agency's transportation insurance requirements
