Web Content Specialist - Boston

The Web Content Specialist will be responsible for growing and strengthening the firm's web presence through direct development, support, and maintenance of the firm’s external website. This position is part of the Marketing Technology Team. This role will partner closely with members of the Creative, Marketing and Business Development teams at all levels, the Information Technology group, third party vendors and consultants, attorneys, practice group leaders and other key stakeholders throughout the organization. This position reports to the Marketing Technology Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the point-person for supporting, maintaining and driving feature enhancements and key initiatives for the firm’s external-facing websites.
  • Assist with front-end development of existing pages and creation of new website templates, custom microsites and other Marketing collateral.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the firm to gather and evaluate user requirements, develop mockups and prototypes that illustrate functional enhancements and present recommendations.
  • Work closely with other members of the website team in Marketing and IT to identify issues, design and implement new functionality or fixes, and/or create detailed tickets when necessary.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and trends and advise on content or functional improvements to the website and other key digital assets.
  • Analyze and report on site usage and trends using Google Analytics.
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.
  • Support SEO initiatives, best practices and reporting.
  • Design web graphics for inclusion on website.
  • Create clean, high fidelity comps and visual assets for web.
  • Some PHP and HTML development is required.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as requested.
  • This role requires 60% in office presence; remote work is permissible 40% of the time.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience maintaining an organization’s website. Drupal Websites highly preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript is required.
  • Knowledge in a Mac and PC environment with the following software: Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, Ceros and Acrobat are a plus.
  • Experience with WordPress, Squarespace, Drupal is strongly preferred.
  • Strong UI/UX capabilities with proven experience.
  • Understanding of wireframe tools.
  • Understands search engine optimization (SEO) to support performance.
  • Must be familiar with issues of browser/server compatibility and responsive mobile design principles.
  • Strong understanding of digital design and user experience best practices, including creative design solutions working within the constraints of the current platform.
  • Working knowledge of interactive design and user-centered experience design; with animation and motion graphic knowledge a plus.
  • Knowledge of website structure and functionality.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, service-oriented organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of marketing, communications, and advertising-oriented production processes and project management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to execute through to completion.
  • Creative problem solving skills, reasoning ability, and logical thought process.
  • Demonstrated ability to professionally interact and collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
  • Must be self-motivated to produce quality work.
  • Flexibility to work after hours when necessary.
