Key Responsibilities

WebLogic Administration

: Manage and maintain WebLogic Server environments, including installation, configuration, and tuning.

System Analysis

: Analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability, addressing challenges such as user session persistence and session transfer issues.

Performance Monitoring

: Continuously monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency and observability.

Collaboration and Training

: Work with cross-functional teams to understand system requirements and provide training on WebLogic best practices.

Documentation

: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation on system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.

Resilience Engineering

: Implement solutions to improve system resilience, such as clustering WebLogic components, enabling session -persistence, and improving observability.

Automation and Self-Healing

: Develop and implement automation scripts for self-healing and monitoring, including automated restarts and observability-based monitoring.

Disaster Recovery

: Enhance RTO/RPO with HOT-WARM strategies and automated disaster recovery processes.

Experience

8-15 years of experience in software engineering or system administration, with a focus on WebLogic Server management and administration.

 

Technical Skills

Proficiency in WebLogic Server administration and related tools.

Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.

Strong knowledge of Java EE applications and middleware technologies.

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).

Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).

Experience with incident response and root cause analysis.

Knowledge of Oracle RAC, ASM for storage, and Dataguard for replication.

 

Desired Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to mentor and train junior engineers on WebLogic practices.

Commitment to continuous learning to stay updated with the latest WebLogic techniques and tools.

Familiarity with tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform.

Experience with chaos testing and resilience engineering practices.
