JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose and Primary Responsibilities: Christ Community Preschool is a new and exciting Ministry serving families in our church and community. We are committed to running a Christ centered school with excellence, giving our two to four year old children a safe and creative environment to thrive in all areas of their development.

Our Lead Teacher position requires someone who has excellent communication skills, has experience working with preschool age children, works well with a team and can implement and coordinate all activities in the classroom. An Early Education degree is preferred, but not required.

Essential Responsibilities:

• The teacher shall be responsible for all daily classroom activities.


• The teacher is expected to follow the curriculum goals approved by the Director. 


• The teacher is expected to prepare lesson plans 2 weeks in advance and will be made available to the Director to review and/or for a substitute to follow.


• The teacher shall be responsible for a monthly calendar for parents.


• In addition to the attendance at regularly scheduled workdays, the teacher will be expected to:
  
  
  
  • Attend Parent and Student orientation.
  
  
  • Attend staff meetings as the Director schedules.
  
  
  • Prepare the classroom at the start of the school year.
  
  
  • Participate in Open House as scheduled.
  
  
  • Plan for and participate in the Christmas Program.
  
  
  • Plan for and participate in the end of the year activities (graduation).
  
  
  • Store away materials used for class event, upon completion.
  
  
  • Complete evaluations upon request.
  
  
  • Other duties as assigned.
