Weekend Caregiver – Flexible & Regular Shifts

Home Instead is looking for dependable caregivers who are available to work weekend shifts with clients throughout our service area.

We have opportunities for caregivers who want a regular weekend schedule with the same client, as well as caregivers who prefer a more flexible or on-call role, helping cover open shifts, call-offs, and changing weekend needs.

Pay: $14.00 per hour

Weekend shifts can vary from 3-hour visits to 12-hour shifts depending on the client. Care needs also vary. Some assignments may involve companionship and light household assistance, while others may require hands-on personal care and full assistance.

Caregiver responsibilities may include:

• Companionship and conversation


• Meal preparation


• Light housekeeping and laundry


• Transportation and errands


• Medication reminders


• Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting


• Mobility and transfer assistance


• Providing supervision and safety support


• Following each client’s individualized care plan

Because assignments may change from weekend to weekend, caregivers must be comfortable reviewing and following different care plans and understanding the expectations of each assignment.

We are looking for caregivers who:

• Are dependable and committed to showing up for scheduled shifts


• Have reliable transportation


• Are comfortable working with different clients and levels of care


• Can follow written care plans and instructions


• Communicate professionally with clients, families, and the office


• Are willing to help cover weekend call-offs when available


• Have caregiving experience or a strong willingness to learn
