Weekend Experience Director

The Weekend Experience Director provides strategic leadership for the guest experience during weekend services and supports key special events at the Bayside Granite Bay Campus. This role is responsible for shaping the overall vision and direction of the "street to seat" experience, ensuring that every guest encounter from arrival to departure is welcoming, seamless, and aligned with Bayside’s culture.

Specific Responsibilities:

Create a Welcoming & Exciting Guest Experience

• Responsible for the outside and inside “vibe” of the campus as it relates to service themes and topics  
• Oversee the look and feel of the campus courtyard, lobby, and meeting spaces
• Oversees the experience from arrival to and departure from the campus, including signage, music, and aesthetics of space
• Develop quarterly themes and special activities in conjunction with the Campus Events Director for weekend services to draw the community (i.e. Fall Kickoff, Christmas events/January, Spring, Summer) 

Team Development

• Recruit, train, and develop weekend staff and volunteers who lead our various hospitality teams: 

• Create a culture of appreciation and ownership within each hospitality ministry team
• Develop & maintain operating procedures for all teams
• Establish and implement quality standards for all Weekend volunteers
• Create a volunteer culture with a set of behaviors, terms, and values to ensure the optimal guest experience.
• Ensure consistency in all systems and procedures each weekend.

Develop and Manage Budget

• Develop and oversee the annual budget for the ministry department
• Align budget planning with ministry goals, seasonal events, and volunteer needs
• Monitor expenses and ensure responsible use of resources 
• Provide regular budget updates and reporting to campus leadership

Support Global Events Team

• Collaborate with the Global Events team to host concerts, conferences, and other special events.
• Ensure campus readiness for events and a smooth transition back to weekend services.
• Recruit and mobilize volunteer teams to assist with global events, concerts, and conferences.

Mission Critical Responsibilities

• Proactively communicate, and uphold the mission, vision, core values, purposes and goals of Bayside Church.

Qualifications:

• Leadership & Team Development -  Proven experience recruiting, training, and leading large teams of staff and volunteers, ideally in a church or guest services setting.
• Creative Vision & Execution - Ability to design and implement engaging, themed guest experiences that reflect the mission and culture of Bayside.
• Event & Project Management - Skilled in planning and coordinating large-scale services and special events with excellence and attention to detail.
• Strong Communication & People Skills - Exceptional interpersonal skills with a passion for hospitality, connection, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
