Welcome Center Coordinator

The Welcome Center Coordinator at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City (IHOPKC) plays an essential role in ensuring visitors and community members feel welcomed to the prayer room. This position involves greeting guests, answering questions, and managing and scheduling a team of Greeters to assist in the efforts to foster a culture of excellence in hospitality and service. 

Key Responsibilities

• Give a positive first impression to visitors by extending a cordial welcome and assisting with needs.
• Provide general information and resources by answering phone calls and monitoring emails.
• Oversee the lost-and-found area and lost-and-found ticketing system.
• Keep information for all IHOPKC ministries and events up-to-date and maintain Welcome Center records.
• Recruit, train, and schedule a team of Greeters.
• Supervise day-to-day operations of the Welcome Center.
• Provide ongoing support and encouragement to the Greeters team to enhance team effectiveness.
• Foster a culture of prayer, excellence, and servant-hearted leadership among the team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Strong organizational and leadership skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with visitors, using tact, courtesy, and good judgment.
• Experience using Google applications and standard office equipment.
• Ability to recruit, coordinate, and lead a team effectively.
• Ability to think critically and solve problems.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse teams.
