Job Description - Welder

Labor Finders of Austell is seeking an experienced welder. In this position, you will be using heat, gas, and specialized equipment to join metal parts, repair metal structures, and fabricate metal components, requiring precision, attention to detail, and knowledge of various welding techniques and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Reading Blueprints:
Welders need to interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand the specifications and requirements of the welding projects.
Operating Welding Equipment:
They set up and operate welding equipment, including welding machines, torches, and other tools, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
Quality Control:
Welders are responsible for ensuring the quality of their welds, checking for defects and making necessary adjustments.
Safety:
Welders must adhere to strict safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety procedures.
Joining Metals:
Welders use various welding processes (like arc welding, gas welding, or resistance welding) to fuse metal pieces, creating strong and durable joints.
Repairing and Fabricating:
They repair damaged metal structures, fill holes, and fabricate new metal components for various applications.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
A valid certificate in welding from an accredited institution is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a welder.
Excellent knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs.
Outstanding attention to detail.
