We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have experience with MIG and/or TIG welding, be able to read blueprints, and work with various metals in a fast-paced shop environment. Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of producing clean, quality welds with minimal supervision. We will be accepting applications until July 31,2024.

Essential Function

• Read and follow blueprints and isometric drawings for specific jobs. 
• Fabrication/welding 
• Follow all safety rules and regulations
• Comply with directions and responsibilities as instructed
• Understand and implement hot work and lockout/tagout procedures
• Ability to work with various metals such as galvanized steel
• Keep a clean and organized work area
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Vessel or ASME experience!!
• Must pass a 1/2-inch plate test consisting of vertical and horizontal, open root with 6010 root and hot pass and cap out with flux core wire!!!
• Must pass Perform a 6g pipe test with 6010 root and hot and cap with 7018!!
• Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret Isometric drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret accurate dimensional measurements.
• Ability to understand and complete basic math problems.
• Ability to use various tools such as but not limited to welding machines, grinders, drills, hand and track torches, plasma torches, fit-up jigs, fixture tables, cranes, shears, and punches

Company Requirements

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check to company standards.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. 
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds with regularity; frequent bending, stooping, and standing
• May be required to lift up to 100 pounds on occasion
• Work in a variety of shop environments including cold or heat
• Must be able to stand on concrete floors for extended periods
• May be exposed to galvanized welding fumes
• Must be able to wear and perform work in personal protective equipment (e.g. welding hood) for extended periods
• Must be able to commute to Midland, TX

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: $30-$35 per hour, depending on experience 

Overtime: Eligible for overtime pay after 40 hours per week, as needed
