General Summary

This position is responsible to fabricate carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum and other metals working from drawings and written instructions.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities 

• Perform the following types of welding; MIG, TIG, Stick 
• Use hand and power tools such as welders, grinders, sanding tools, air tools, cutting tools, press brake, shear, punch machines, drill press, etc.
• Install components that have been fabricated 
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area
• Fabricate replication parts from stock metal
• Repair damaged and deteriorated components
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, work bench, and work areas
• Works with and fabricates tooling, fixtures, jigs, etc.
• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
• Make necessary adjustments to machine for operation run
• Other tasks as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience 
• Must be able to work in a climate that varies in temperature including working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Excellent metal fabrication and welding skills
• Excellent MIG and TIG skills of mild steel and sheet metal
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, square, drill, and grind
• Ability to perform and prioritize multiple functions
• Extreme attention to detail
• Mechanically inclined
• Organized, task-driven, and able to work independently as well as within a crew
• Must be able occasionally lift up to 100 pounds
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
