We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join our growing team. If you are dedicated, detail-oriented, and looking to advance your career in manufacturing, we encourage you to apply.
Position Overview
The Welder will operate specialized welding machines to join sheet metal components, ensuring high-quality construction for elevator parts. This position requires technical skill, precision, and adherence to safety protocols in a dynamic shop environment.
Essential Functions
Operate single and multi-head spot welding equipment.
Operate Tig welder
Operate Mig welder
Set up welding machines according to specifications and project requirements.
Inspect and test welds for strength, durability, and precision.
Clean and maintain welding tips and equipment as needed.
Perform manual handling of materials using small hand tools.
Complete necessary paperwork and data entry accurately.
Position Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in steel fabrication and welding.
Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Skills & Abilities
Strong work ethic with a desire to develop comprehensive manufacturing skills.
Knowledge of welding processes and steel fabrication.
Ability to lift heavy materials up to 100 lbs. using proper lifting techniques.
Familiarity with using small tools and machinery.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, take direction, and complete assignments on time.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Physical and Working Conditions
Regularly requires walking, standing, bending, and stooping.
Must have good manual dexterity and vision to handle objects and perform detailed work.
Primarily works in a shop environment with varying temperatures, noise, dust, and dirt.
