Welder (2nd Shift)

2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday

4:00pm - 2:00am

7.5% shift differential pay

Spectrum Industries, Inc. is looking for a new team member to weld metal parts with gas welding equipment as specified by layout, welding diagram, or work order.

• Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench/ floor or clamps parts together along layout marks
• Adjusts wire feed rate and voltage, according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of metal
• Connects regulator valves and hoses to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders and welding torches
• Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases and adjusts pressure to obtain desired weld
• Holds gun at proper angle to metal and guides along weld joint
• Examines weld for bead size and other specifications
• Scars or grooves weld prior to applying filler metal
• Other duties as assigned 

Requirements

• One year certificate from a college or technical school
• One to two years of related work experience
• OR equivalent combination of education and experience
